A small community seeks for a sustainable way of life in one of the world´s most threatened ecosystems. When climate change, deforestation and their impact on the planet are issues of worldwide attention, this documentary shows us that by organizing, there is still hope.

To discuss the film, three special guest will participate:
Janice Luna Reynoso. Mundo Gardens, a roots community garden program empowering youth and families throughout San Diego and across borders. They cultivate wellness and creativity by combining nature, music, and the arts. Mundo Gardens currently has a campaign to plant 1700 trees in National City. https://www.facebook.com/MundoGardens/
Cristina Juarez. Cooperativa Pixca, a small urban farm located in southern San Diego that uses conscious practices of social and environmental conditions that benefit crops, land, the environment and the people who consume what they grow. https://www.facebook.com/pixcafarm/
Paloma Diaz. Mariposas Revolucionarias, a community organization focused in making the world a better place. They create community gardens , offer free or affordable workshops for the community, focused on herbalism and native plants. Mariposas advocate to continue protecting our community and planet, opening a space and sanctuary for all minorities and people of color.
