¡¡EL GOBIERNO MEXICANO VUELVE A ATACAR A NORMALISTAS DE AYOTZINAPA!!

ONCE AGAIN, THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT ATTACKS STUDENTS FROM AYOTZINAPA!!

EN UN ACTO DE DENUNCIA Y REPUDIO, NOS PRESENTAREMOS EN EL CONSULADO MEXICANO EN 1549 India St, San Diego, CA 92101 ESTE JUEVES 12 DE NOVIEMBRE A LAS 6 AM Y A LAS 6 PM EN UNA VELADA. TENEMOS QUE DEMOSTRARLE AL GOBIERNO MEXICANO QUE LOS NORMALISTAS Y LOS Y LAS MILES DE SUS VICTIMAS NO ESTAN SOL@S! HACEMOS RESPONSABLE AL GOBIERNO MEXICANO POR LA SEGURIDAD Y LA VIDA DE TODOS LOS ESTUDIANTES DETENIDOS Y HERIDOS. NO QUEREMOS MAS VIOLENCIA!

This afternoon 600 anti-protester police officers attacked 250 students who were traveling by bus, intercepting then and shooting tear gas canisters into the buses. Up until a few hours ago, 13 students were reported arrested, 20 wounded, of which 5 were in critical condition and 50 remained unaccounted for. A last report from the Mexican organization HIJOS states that 13 students have been released from jail, 30 have been found, but 8 students remain in two hospitals, some of them seriously wounded. ENOUGH!!! WE WILL HAVE AN ACTION TO DENOUNCE AND CONDEM NOS THIS NEWEST ATACK AT THE MEXICAN CONSULATE AT 1549 India St, San Diego, CA 92101 TOMORROW THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12TH AT 6 AM AND WE WILL BE BACK AT 6 PM FOR A CANDLELIGHT VIGIL. WE NEED TO SHOW THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT THAT THE STUDENTS AND THOUSANDS OTHER VICTIMS OF STATE VIOLENCE ARE NOT ALONE! WE HOLD THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY AND LIFE OF ALL THE ARRESTED AND WOUNDED STUDENTS. NO MORE VIOLENCE!

The Head of Joaquin Murrieta: Nov 10, 2015

Film: The Head of Joaquin Murrieta
John J. Valadez, Peabody Award Winning Filmmaker

Tue. Nov. 10, 11:15-12:35pm
Room V-101, City College

About
For over a decade filmmaker John J. Valadez searched for the remains of Joaquin Murrieta, a legendary Mexican outlaw who blazed a trail of revenge and rebellion following the theft of his land, and the rape and murder of his wife. The Head of Joaquin Murrieta (a 30- minute film) is an irreverent, entertaining and often disturbing tale that uses both fiction and documentary story telling devices to tear open a painful and long ignored history: the lynching of Mexican Americans in the Southwest.
