Just Like Us chronicles the true coming-of-age story of four Colorado teenage girls. All four have grown up in the United States, but only two have documents. As the girls attempt to make it into college, they discover that only the pair who has legal status can see a clear path forward. Just Like Us explores the realities of immigration, one of our country’s most complicated social issues.

SYHC is a non-profit, where the mission to
improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve with access for all. They
offer a variety of employment opportunities that span across a multitude
of industries that aid with advocacy, support, and access for patients.

Cambrian Homecare On-Site Recruitment September 24th!
The Transfer and Career Center is hosting an on-site recruitment fair with Cambrian Homecare.
Their organization is expanding in the San Diego region, and they are looking to hire Talented Knights!
Come and learn about a dynamic employer offering flexible employment for students to begin their career in the healthcare industry.
Cambrian Homecare helps with the activities of daily living as well as in-home respite care and caregiving for all different stages of an individual’s life. Their site promotes flexible employment opportunities that are both full-time and part-time positions.

Raza Visions Fundraiser and Cumbia Party: Sep 7, 2019
You are invited to Raza Visions Fundraiser and Cumbia Party at Centro Cultural de la Raza on September 7th 7pm-12am! The night will feature special guests El Santo Golpe (Los Angeles), a musical project merging cumbia, drums, dance and culture! Also performing is Bomba Liberté who honors the centuries-old dance and drum tradition of bomba, to educate about Afro-Puerto Rican history and culture. Supporting the night's lineup will be DJ Ana Brown and Viejo Lowbo, both known for bringing deep cumbia rhythms to the local San Diego stage. We will have food, drinks, and a screen printing workshop throughout the night.

They create community gardens , offer free or affordable workshops for the community, focused on herbalism and native plants.
