On Feb 13, 2019, ICE conducted a raid at the Zion Market in San Diego's Kearny Mesa community as a result of I-9 audits. ICE claimed it was targeting the employer, yet, detained 29 workers - 26 at the market and 3 at their homes.

The raid has caused fear of family separation, trauma, and economic and emotional hardship.

The workers denounce ICE's violence against them and attempts at criminalizing them for their honest work. They affirm their dignity by declaring their right to live without persecution and call for workers to organize to build solidarity with migrant workers.
