The Labor Council has internship openings for motivated individuals interested in the labor movement, political campaigns, and policy. Internships are part-time and unpaid but you may earn course credit.
Interns gain campaign experience, coordinate logistics, learn database management and assist in policy and research. Interns may also help in developing social media strategies, creating web content, volunteer recruitment and coordination, or drafting proposals and press releases.
Specific responsibilities and duties vary depending on the needs and priority of the projects assigned.
Applicants must be responsible and dependable with strong interpersonal skills and a good work ethic; Spanish language skills and/or familiarity with organized labor preferred; flexibility and good written and oral communication skills mandatory. Applicants from diverse backgrounds encouraged to apply.
Resumes will be considered on an ongoing basis. To apply: Send your resume to Elizabeth Newman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
